Pact is seeking a Senior Director, Business Development and Fundraising to lead cross‑functional efforts to diversify revenue and win new funding from USG, foundations, and corporate funders. The role emphasizes strategic leadership, donor engagement, and alignment with Pact’s impact areas.

The position is hybrid with two in‑office days in the Washington, DC area; travel may be required. A Master’s degree and 12+ years of experience, including 7 years in management, are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree plus 12+ years relevant experience, including 7 years in management.
• Track record of winning work from public sector donors.
• Fluency in English; ability to travel internationally.
• Subject matter expertise in Pact’s impact areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Business Development unit and align with organizational goals.
• Source new prospects and diversify funding from foundations, corporations, and private funders.
• Oversee proposal development and ensure competitive, compliant bids.
• Develop external communications and pitches with Programs teams.
• Advise on donor relationships and pre-bid intelligence, including large opportunities.
• Represent Pact at external events to build strategic partnerships.
