Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Senior Director of General Accounting to lead the General, Regulatory and M&S accounting teams. This role partners with senior finance leadership to ensure GAAP compliance, regulatory reporting, and process improvements across multi-entity operations.

The ideal candidate has deep US GAAP and IFRS knowledge, strong leadership, and a track record of building high-performing teams while guiding external audits and regulatory filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; MBA or CPA a plus.
• Deep expertise in US GAAP and IFRS; ASC 980 regulated operations knowledge.
• Experience leading multi-entity month-end/year-end closes; build high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership to General, Regulatory, and M&S accounting teams.
• Ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance and timely regulatory reporting.
• Oversee audit readiness, external audits, and intercompany cost allocations.
• Partner with FP&A, Tax and business leaders for budgeting and forecasting.
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives across accounting functions.
