Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in nonprofit field operations, youth-serving organizations, or public health/safety program management.
• Experience managing multi-state grant portfolios (HSO or federal/state grants) from application to closeout.
• Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams in a remote environment.
• Advanced grant writing, budgeting, expense tracking, and compliance documentation skills.
• Strong relationship management with government agencies, schools, coalitions, and youth-serving professionals.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a national field engagement strategy aligned with SADD's mission and Strategic Plan.
• Lead chapter expansion, recruitment, reactivation, and sustainability of school chapters across states.
• Provide coaching and performance management for reporting team members.
• Oversee field-related grant portfolios, including annual grant writing, budgeting, and compliance for HSO grants.
• Monitor field staff performance, spend-down, approvals, and travel across states.
• Lead grant monitoring meetings with HSO partners and maintain state-level relationships.
• Oversee state reporting requirements (monthly/quarterly/mid-year/end-of-year) with the Assistant Director of Field Operations.
• Build relationships with Highway Safety Offices, agencies, coalitions, and school districts.
• Coordinate communication and resource distribution between the national office and field network.
• Co-lead SADD National Conference and field-facing events, including logistics and student leadership programs.
• Manage event logistics, materials, and vendor relations for field activities.
• Track and report chapter activity metrics and field impact outcomes.
• Contribute to organizational planning and policy within the Senior Leadership Team.
