Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, public administration, law, economics, business, or a related field.
• Twelve or more years of government affairs or related experience.
• Deep expertise in federal legislative and regulatory processes with a track record of strategy and advocacy outcomes.
• Exceptional executive communication and ability to translate policy developments into business implications.
• Ability to independently manage a complex policy portfolio and influence outcomes.
• Strong project management and cross-functional coordination.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with discretion and attention to detail.
• Executive presence and experience building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Policy portfolio ownership: develop and execute advocacy strategies for priority policy areas.
• Senior government engagement: build relations with Members of Congress, federal agencies, and policymakers.
• Policy analysis & business counsel: assess developments and provide practical recommendations.
• Advocacy execution: develop briefs, letters, testimony, talking points, and presentations.
• Coalition & industry engagement: represent the company in policy forums and coalitions.
• Cross-functional partnership: work with legal, communications, and business teams on policy positions.
• Executive briefing & policy intelligence: monitor developments and deliver concise briefings.
• Complex issue management: own high-risk matters and drive workstreams to resolution.
• Team contribution & mentorship: share expertise and coordinate external consultants when needed.
