Job summary

Prince George's County Circuit Court seeks a Director of the Family Division to lead, guide, and oversee all family-related initiatives in line with administrative policies. This senior management role reports to the Deputy Court Administrator and partners with justice partners and NGOs to administer grants and the division’s budget.

The Director will ensure compliance with DCM plans and supervise managers and staff while advancing services for families.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Court Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, or closely related discipline.
Three to five years of progressive experience in court administration, social services, or legal/judicial management.
At least 2 years of demonstrated management or supervisory experience overseeing staff, case management, social service programs, and budgets.

Responsibilities

Directly manages a division of professionals and consults with Judges, Magistrates, and the Administrative Team on policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Ensures efficient case management in accordance with DCM guidelines.
Drafts, collaborates on, monitors, and executes federal and state grants; oversees case-flow activities and family programs.
Provides recommendations to Judges, Magistrates, and the Administrative Team to enhance services and implement changes.
Participates in hiring, planning, assigning, and directing workload; uses court knowledge and data to resolve matters.
