Frederick County Government is seeking the Department Head for the Family Justice Center within the Division of Family Services to lead a multi‑agency, trauma‑informed operation. You will supervise staff, manage budgets and grants, and coordinate strategic planning across partners to improve survivor safety and access to services.

A Bachelor’s degree and several years in human services with supervisory experience are required; master’s substitution is also stated.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field
• 6 years in human services, criminal justice, healthcare, healthcare administration, business administration, or similar field
• 3 years of experience supervising or managing staff
• Substitutions for the above-listed education: Master’s Degree with 4 years experience as described above

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive administrative and operation support to the Family Justice Center
• Manage FJC’s operations, ensuring a safe, secure, trauma-informed environment
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, survivor-centered services across co-located partners
• Serve as primary liaison between on-site partner agency staff and County departments
• Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs and policies governing co-location
• Schedule, coordinate, and attend Executive Committee and multi-agency partner meetings
• Oversee building security protocols and act as building manager
• Manage procurement, fiscal processes, and expense tracking
• Assist the Division Director with budget development, reporting and fiscal analysis
• Provide staff development, conflict resolution, and coordination support
• Develop and deliver community education to increase awareness of FJC services
• Lead planning and execution of initiatives to strengthen coordinated community responses
• Ensure activities are trauma-informed, evidence-based, survivor-centered
• Evaluate program effectiveness and implement innovative solutions
• Oversee service delivery models for FJC programs
• Develop and deliver strategic plans with measurable outcomes
