Job summary

Lockwood Management Llc is seeking a Director of Facilities to provide strategic oversight of facilities management, maintenance, capital improvements, energy management, and asset preservation across its portfolio in Southfield, MI.

The role reports to the COO, leads capital planning, ensures regulatory compliance, and partners with operations and executive leadership to improve property performance, resident satisfaction, and operating efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in facilities management and 5+ years leadership.
• Experience with capital planning and large capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and energy management.
• Proficiency with office and PM software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee long-term capital plans across the portfolio.
• Lead capital projects from planning to completion with budgets and timelines.
• Establish maintenance standards and energy management programs.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management across properties.
• Partner with Operations and Executive Leadership to improve performance and resident satisfaction.
