Job summary

Quality Equipment Solutions (QES) seeks an energetic Sr Director to lead the lifecycle management of QC’s fleet, including tractors, trailers, chassis and ISO tanks. Responsibilities include specifications, procurement, lease management, disposal, and compliance.

The role reports to senior leadership and involves travel to terminals and sites. The position emphasizes budgeting, vendor relationships, regulatory compliance, and driving performance across a growing operation.

Qualifications

• 4-Year Business or related field degree required.
• At least 5–10 years of progressively responsible experience in fleet maintenance, logistics management, or heavy equipment operations.
• Deep understanding of tractor and trailer models and systems, especially bulk commodity trailers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term strategies for fleet acquisition, lifecycle management, and disposal to align with company growth and financial objectives.
• Centralizing and maintaining the “source of truth” for QC’s equipment inventory for financial, operational and compliance purposes.
• Manage QES’s budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis of “lease vs. buy” decisions.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and third-party service providers to optimize sourcing and inventory.
• Lead and mentor a team of equipment directors, managers and staff, fostering a culture of accountability and performance excellence.
