Job summary

Republic Services in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Director, Sales – Environmental Solutions to lead regional or segment sales strategy and growth. You will translate national strategy into actionable go-to-market plans and collaborate with Area, BU, Division, Operations, and corporate leaders to drive revenue, retention and margin targets.

You will influence cross-functional teams in a matrix environment, oversee CRM-driven execution, and support contract negotiations with executive-level clients.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of sales leadership experience with revenue and margin accountability.
• Experience leading in a matrix organization across large geographic areas.
• Experience in waste, energy, environmental solutions or environmental services.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with VP, Sales to operationalize national sales strategy for Environmental Solutions.
• Work with Area, BU and Division Sales leaders to achieve new sales and retention goals and profitability.
• Manage sales performance and customer interaction through a leading CRM tool and business management system.
• Drive integrated growth and cross-sell initiatives across all lines of business.
• Monitor, analyze and provide feedback on customer, sales and marketing programs.
• Provide strategic vision and drive execution of sales strategy to leadership; reinforce standardized sales methodology.
• Participate in contract negotiations and executive level customer engagements as needed.
• Travel 40%+ by air, car and/or other modes of transportation.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
