Job summary

QinetiQ U.S. seeks a Director of Enterprise Quality & Configuration Management in Franklin, MA to lead quality across hardware production and services. The role reports to the VP of Contracts, Supply Chain and Quality and drives enterprise-wide quality maturity across programs.

Hybrid work with travel to VA, FL, NC, and PA is required. You will build scalable processes, mentor ~25 quality professionals, and partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management to ensure

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field with 12+ years in Aerospace & Defense Quality in hardware manufacturing.
Experience leading quality managers and engineers (5+ years).
Proven DoD/federal program quality leadership from first article to production and Government acceptance.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise-wide Quality and Configuration Management strategy across all U.S. entities.
Own production quality on major defense hardware programs, including first article and rate delivery.
Drive nonconformance, corrective actions, and supplier quality to prevent escapes.
Interface with customers, Government QA representatives, and DCMA for audits and deviations.
Establish continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma to improve yield and cycle time.
Manage QMS compliance (AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, CMMI-SVC ML3) and expand enterprise quality systems.
