Job summary

OneEnergy Renewables seeks a Sr. Director of Electrical Engineering to guide a multidisciplinary team in long-term system technology selection and pricing strategy. You will collaborate across Preconstruction and Delivery, and review NTP, Offtake, and IPP contracts from an engineering perspective.

The role requires deep knowledge of PV/BESS projects across CS, DG, and Utility Scale, with leadership responsibility and extensive travel across the US.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Advanced engineering experience and professional license.
• Ability to stamp IX & Construction Sets as needed.
• Experience with CS, DG, & Utility Scale design cycles from Conceptual design to Energization.
• Experience on transmission level IX design (345kV preferred).
• 12+ years PV design in a professional setting.
• Growth mindset and adaptability to new ideas.
• Deliverables to stakeholders with reliability and timeliness.
• Navigate and apply electrical and building codes.
• Understanding of greenfield PV/BESS development and latest industry updates.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail and integrity.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Strong PVSyst knowledge.
• Willingness to contribute to culture and accountability.
• Roll up sleeves attitude and proactive work style.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee early-stage pricing through Preconstruction collaboration.
• Understand monetization paths and align with design direction.
• Collaborate with Procurement to identify tech trends and AVL.
• Support DG/LG set reviews with Delivery teams.
• Provide senior engineering support on large utility-scale projects (transmission up to 345kV).
• Maintain familiarity with utility-scale solar products and specs.
• Finalize specifications for Transformer, Inverter, Racking, Switchgear, and more.
• Interpret NTP, Offtake, and IPP contracts and suggest adjustments.
