Job summary

The United Illuminating Company in Connecticut seeks a senior leader to oversee Substation and Test Department operations, meter systems, and SCADA application support. You will guide safety, reliability, and customer service while directing major projects and daily field activities.

Responsibilities include developing annual plans, supervising staff, and coordinating with internal teams and authorities to ensure policy compliance and efficient restoration efforts.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in related field.
• Supervisory/management experience.
• Familiarity with budget preparation and reporting.
• Knowledge of electric maintenance delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct safety, reliability, and customer service goals.
• Develop annual business plans including O&M and capital budgets.
• Oversee and improve work processes and resource allocation.
• Manage regulatory strategy across four areas of responsibility.
• Coordinate with teams and agencies for state, regional, or national issues.
