Job summary

Allspring Global Investments is seeking a seasoned Head of Institutional Distribution, East Region to lead a regional team, drive new business, and deepen client relationships across pensions, endowments, and consultants in the Eastern US. The role combines direct sales with leadership, coaching, and regional strategy execution.

The candidate will manage a pipeline, forecast outcomes, and collaborate with investment teams and senior leadership to advance Allspring's market position.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in institutional distribution, consultant relations, or a related asset management role.
• Proven origination mindset with a demonstrated ability to identify, pursue, and convert new institutional client opportunities.
• BA/BS required.
• Series 7/63 (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead the East Region Institutional Distribution Team, establishing clear priorities, performance expectations, and execution standards.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing team of institutional sales and relationship management professionals.
• Maintain direct responsibility for a portfolio of strategic institutional clients, prospects, and intermediary relationships.
• Proactively originate, qualify, and pursue new institutional client opportunities.
• Develop and execute regional business plans designed to generate new mandates and grow assets under management.
• Build senior-level relationships with CIOs, investment staff, trustees, consultants, and other decision-makers.
