Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Director in its Retail Bank Division to lead data risk management and technology risk initiatives. You will partner across Enterprise teams and Technology to develop risk identification and mitigation solutions for AI and data across the organization.

You will shape risk frameworks, provide advisory services to first line owners, and report risk insights to senior management while fostering growth and collaboration within a highly technical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• 10+ years in Technology Risk, Data Risk or Model Risk.
• 8+ years of people management experience.
• Experience with risk and control frameworks and communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME leadership on AI risk across control domains.
• Identify and implement program enhancements based on industry standards for data and AI risk management.
• Assess compliance with divisional and enterprise data and model management requirements.
• Build risk oversight processes across key data risk areas including data quality, lineage and usage in AI/LLM.
• Influence control owners to mitigate and remediate risks including AI-related risks.
• Lead in lifecycle AI risk across design, development, testing, deployment and monitoring.
