Job summary

Capital One National Association in McLean, VA is seeking a Sr. Director of Data, Models, and AI Risk Management to lead risk identification, measurement, and reporting for data and AI initiatives within the Retail Bank.

You will partner with Enterprise teams, Second Line of defense, and Technology to embed risk-aware practices while enabling innovation. The role demands vision in risk frameworks, strong communication, and proven leadership to drive proactive controls and advisory services

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 10 years experience in Technology Risk, Data Risk or Model Risk.
• At least 8 years of People Management experience.
• Experience solving complex programs with a strategic point of view.

Responsibilities

• Provide departmental oversight and SMEs regarding AI risk across control domains.
• Identify and implement program enhancements based on industry standards for data and AI risk.
• Partner with Retail Bank Tech and Business teams to assess compliance with data and model management requirements.
• Build and maintain risk oversight processes across data risk areas: data quality, lineage, traceability, transformation and AI usage.
