Job summary

Aligned Data Centers in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Director of Operations to lead campus operations, safety, reliability, and customer relations across our datacenter facilities. You will ensure 24x7 uptime, manage engineering and security teams, and uphold SOPs, SLAs, and audits.

You will develop budgets, forecast workloads, coach the management team, oversee vendor contracts, and drive continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 10+ years experience or 12–15 years in lieu of degree.
• Ability to analyze complex project documents and interpret data from CAD/Visio/PDF.
• Strong time management, presentation, and independent work capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership to drive strategic vision for Aligned datacenters, including operations, maintenance, service delivery, and safety.
• Manage 24x7 campus operations and meet SLAs, overseeing electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Oversee vendor relationships and optimize contracts, costs, and delivery.
• Lead staff development and cross-functional collaboration to ensure high-quality service.
• Develop budgeting, forecasting, deployment, and change management processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and SOPs across facilities.
