Job summary

Aligned Data Centers, LLC in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the campus operations for multiple data centers, overseeing safety, security, reliability, network environment, customer relations, and P&L. The role will strategize, manage, and operate facilities to ensure 100% uptime and adherence to SOPs, SLAs, and audits.

Qualified candidates typically hold a bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in data center operations (or 12-15 years of equivalent experience).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 10 years’ experience or minimum of 12-15 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with data centers, critical facilities, and infrastructure operations.
• Ability to analyze, plan, and communicate complex operational structures.

Responsibilities

• Provides senior leadership to drive strategic vision for Aligned’s datacenters, including Critical Facilities Operations, Preventative Maintenance, Commissioning, Infrastructure, Service Delivery, Security, Logistics, and Safety on a Senior level.
• Manages Campus operations of the 24x7 Datacenter environment.
• Identifies and implements critical metrics to manage performance, including capacity, availability, budget, and inventory.
• Oversees electrical and mechanical infrastructure such as UPS, generators, fire suppression, BMS, and HVAC systems.
• Ensures compliance with SLAs, SOPs, and safety procedures.
• Drives vendor relationships and cross-team collaboration to deliver services and optimize costs.
