Job summary

American Real Estate Partners (AREP) seeks a Director of Data Center Development & Construction to lead entitlement, design, construction, and promotion of data center projects. You will manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and contracts, reporting to the SVP.

Based at the Chester, VA site with travel to HQ (min 25%). You will interact with consultants, engineers, GC’s, suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to deliver development milestones on time and within budget, while advancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture/planning, business or related field, or significant experience in lieu of degree.
• 10+ years of construction or development project management experience on mission-critical or technically complex projects (data centers/MEP).
• Advanced knowledge of data center development, design, and construction principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center project development and PM across the lifecycle.
• Coordinate consultant activity during entitlement and design stages; commission reports and evaluate results.
• Assist in business plans, budgeting, capital requirements and exit strategies.
