American Real Estate Partners (AREP) in Ashburn, VA seeks a Senior Project Manager, Data Center Development & Construction to lead turnkey data center projects from preconstruction through commissioning, coordinating GCs, MEP trades, architects, engineers, and key vendors to ensure scope, schedule, and budget alignment.

The role requires 5+ years in mission‑critical or complex commercial construction, strong cost control, scheduling, and change management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction or development project management experience on mission-critical or technically complex commercial construction projects.
• Experience in data centers or high-density MEP environments.
• Strong skills in contracts, cost controls, scheduling, and change management.
• Able to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deliver to cost/schedule/quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of a turnkey data center project from preconstruction through commissioning.
• Coordinate with general contractors, MEP trade partners, architects, engineers, and key vendors.
• Maintain project documentation including development agreements, permits, drawings, specs, contracts, and change orders.
• Develop and track schedules; identify risks and escalate to leadership with solutions.
• Manage project meetings, minutes, and action items; oversee budgets and cost-to-complete forecasts.
