Job summary

Denton Bible Church in Denton, TX, seeks a Connection & Care Senior Director to lead ChurchLife, Counseling, and Pastoral Care ministries. This senior role reports to the Executive Team and oversees the ChurchLife Director, Counseling Director, and Pastoral Care Director, guiding staff and volunteers toward the church’s mission.

As a player‑coach, you will build a leadership team, shape assimilation pathways for newcomers, coordinate membership classes, and coordinate large church events, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years in ministry or equivalent experience.
• Member of Denton Bible Church and aligned with doctrinal statements.
• Religious worker not covered by FLSA per ministry exception.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ChurchLife, Counseling, and Pastoral Care ministries.
• Build a leadership team to lead assimilation, membership classes, and events.
• Develop strategies to connect congregants to the church and to each other.
• Plan and supervise large church events and church publications updates.
• Prepare annual budgets and ensure responsible financial stewardship.
