Job summary

New York Edge in the Bronx is seeking a Deputy Director of Community Schools to lead across multiple school sites, strengthen youth development initiatives, and ensure program quality and compliance. You will oversee daily operations, design curricula aligned to funders, manage budgets, and supervise staff while building strong school and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in education, youth development, social work, or related field.
• Five years of management experience, preferably supervising school-based, multi-site programs.
• Understanding of NYC Public Schools (NYCPS) and DYCD systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Program Directors in developing comprehensive needs assessments for each school community and monitor the implementation of targeted strategies to address identified needs.
• Design and implement innovative programming that responds to evolving needs of students, families, and community stakeholders.
• Oversee daily operations across all assigned sites, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with the Community School framework and organizational mission.
• Foster strong relationships with school leaders, community stakeholders, and external partners to advance the Community School model.
