Job summary

Celldex seeks a Sr. Director to design and lead enterprise-wide Learning & Development for its first commercial product launch. You will build onboarding and training across sales, marketing, and market access, collaborating with HR to embed best practices and ensure readiness.

You will establish a scalable training infrastructure, measure effectiveness, manage vendors and a dedicated L&D team in a fast-moving biotech setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in biotech/pharma commercial training or related roles.
• Pre-launch experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel up to ~35%.
• Excellent vendor procurement and management experience.
• Expert knowledge of adult learning principles and training effectiveness measures.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to establish credibility with sales, marketing, market access and Medical Affairs.
• Experience leading training teams in clinically/scientifically driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the commercial training strategy for a first product launch across all commercial functions.
• Develop onboarding programs for medical affairs, sales, marketing, market access, and field teams.
• Collaborate with HR to integrate best practices into the Corporate Onboarding Program.
• Build and deliver launch training curricula on disease state, product, competition, and objections.
• Lead development of training materials, tools, and job aids with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Coordinate live training events (national meetings, launch meetings, field rides).
• Select and manage external vendors (content, platforms, LMS).
• Establish training metrics and drive continuous improvement; ensure compliance.
