Job summary

Walmart seeks a Senior Director of Data Science for Commerce Foundational Models to lead a premier team responsible for vision, strategy and execution of large-scale multi-modal models. These models power Walmart's core consumer and enterprise products across Search, Personalization, Sponsored Ads, and more.

You will guide machine learning investments, build scalable platforms, and drive adoption within Walmart Global Tech, influencing product and engineering decisions at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Define the multi-year roadmap for Walmart's Commerce Foundational Models; drive a shift to unified, multi-task architectures.
• Lead a world-class team of Applied AI Researchers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists.
• Partner with product, engineering and business leaders to integrate models and deliver business value across Search, Ads, Personalization, and Customer Experience.
• Serve as the primary evangelist for foundational models within Walmart Global Tech.
