Walmart Global Data Foundation is seeking a Senior Manager for Data Ventures Data Engineering Team to lead architecture, design, and hands‑on development of scalable, cloud‑native, AI powered data platforms that power our data products. This role blends technical leadership with people leadership at scale.

You will mentor engineers, promote best practices, establish governance, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to translate complex business problems into reliable data products,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 5 years' software engineering experience.
• 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 3 years' experience.
• 4 years' experience in data engineering, database engineering, BI, or analytics.
• 1 year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data engineering solutions.
• Oversee data integration, transformation, and quality assurance processes.
• Establish data governance, automated data quality frameworks, and compliance practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into data strategies.
• Mentor engineering teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Champion DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and system performance optimization.
