Job summary

The Tech Interactive in San Jose, CA seeks a Senior Director for the Center to lead strategy, research partnerships, and educational initiatives at the intersection of technology, learning, and civic resilience.

You will guide a cross‑functional team, manage multi‑year budgets, and build relationships with universities, industry partners, and funders to advance frontier AI and responsible technology engagement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of executive leadership experience in edtech, human-centered technology policy, or public research.
• Proven track record building and scaling interdisciplinary initiatives at the intersection of technology, human flourishing, and public education.
• Strong fluency in emerging technologies (Generative/Frontier AI, social media dynamics) with learning science grounding.
• Executive-level fundraising and partnership skills; comfortable engaging tech executives, researchers, and policy leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets, cross-functional teams, and external advisory boards.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Education, Learning Sciences, HCI, Psychology preferred.
