Job summary

Ascend Talent Solutions seeks a Director of Engineering to lead and grow client relationships in Northern California, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality building operations for Class A properties. You will oversee engineering teams, manage third-party vendors, and drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressively responsible facilities engineering experience in a commercial property setting.
• Extensive electrical, mechanical & plumbing knowledge of commercial facilities with a strong background in critical building operations.
• Proficient in Building Management Systems, Life Safety Systems, and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact and strategic partner for 3rd party engineering services.
• Oversee and evaluate the performance of 3rd party engineering services and on-site engineers across properties.
• Establish service expectations, standards, performance metrics, and accountability for engineering operations.
• Conduct regular business reviews with leadership on staffing, maintenance, tenant service, safety initiatives, and financial performance.
• Ensure 3rd party services fulfill contractual obligations and SLAs.
• Recruit, onboard, and train high level engineering talent.
• Promote alignment between external engineering teams and company management.
• Manage client account relationships to deliver operational excellence and energy efficiency.
