Convergent Energy and Power is seeking a Director, Project Development to own a portfolio of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) development projects and to serve as the single point of accountability from commercial award through Financing Ready/NTP.

You will lead cross‑functional teams across Engineering, Land Development, Legal, Procurement, Analytics, and other SMEs; manage budgets, schedules, and project economics; and ensure financeable, construction‑ready results in line with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• 8+ years of experience developing renewable energy or BESS projects.
• Strong commercial, financial, project management, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
• Experience managing development budgets, schedules, and project economics.

Responsibilities

• Own project outcomes by balancing schedule, budget, risk, and investment returns.
• Lead cross‑functional pods to advance each project through financing readiness and NTP.
• Assess risks and implement mitigation strategies for commercial and technical aspects.
• Maintain unlevered financial models with analytics support.
