You will partner with product, commercial, operations, and leadership to drive the tech roadmap, while establishing Austin as a strategic engineering hub and building a high-performing internal team.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience with leadership at director level.
• Experience leading engineering teams in payments, fintech, B2B software, or enterprise SaaS.
• Strong depth in backend systems, APIs, cloud platforms, security, reliability.
• Proven success building engineering organizations and managing vendors.
• Ability to work with executives and cross-functional partners.
• AI-forward mindset with experience applying AI to product/engineering outcomes.
• Location-based leadership in Austin preferred; Chicago considered for exceptional candidates.

Responsibilities

• Lead B2B engineering org: strategy, delivery, architecture, scalability.
• Define technology roadmap with CTO and leaders.
• Build and scale internal engineering team, reduce external dependency.
• Serve as Americas engineering site lead for Austin.
• Drive an AI-first engineering mindset across product and platform.
• Ensure scalable, secure, maintainable B2B platform.
• Recruit, mentor and develop senior engineers.
