Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking a Sr. Director of Applications to build and lead a global organization focused on turning Renesas silicon into design wins with AI and compute customers.

You will own the technical relationship from architecture conversations through production ramp and serve as the voice of the customer inside our NPI process. This role is a hands-on leadership driver, scaling the team, shaping processes, and accelerating customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 15+ years of relevant experience; or MS/PhD with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Substantial experience in power electronics, power management semiconductors, or datacenter power delivery; domestic and international travel required.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale the organization; own recruiting, onboarding, and talent development, growing the team rapidly.
• Develop leaders and structure to enable fast-growing global teams to stay accountable and close to customers.
• Scale customer enablement through automation, design guides, and simulation models.
• Own the reference design portfolio for AI and compute power delivery delivered ahead of customer windows.
• Manage technical escalations end-to-end and feed field learnings back into roadmaps.
• Demonstrate proven organizational leadership, including managing managers and retaining top engineering talent.
• Apply datacenter power delivery expertise across rack, bus bar, and intermediate conversion to load.
• Engage with hyperscale, OEM, ODM, or ASIC customers; communicate credibly with engineers and executives.
