Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Sr Director of Shared Capabilities & Engagement Experience to lead platform engineering and developer experience initiatives. You will own Shared Platform Capabilities, External Engagement, and Internal Developer Portal efforts, driving AI-native, GitOps-driven modernization across multi-region architectures.

The role requires deep leadership of two engineering teams, strategic governance of API surfaces and Kafka-based pipelines, and collaboration with McKesson Technology

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience with leadership in platform engineering.

Responsibilities

• Define and own multi-year strategy for shared platform capabilities and portals.
• Lead two engineering teams, setting standards for GitOps, AI-native tooling, and observability.
• Partner across functions on AKS, API security and multi-region architecture.
• Communicate roadmaps to executives and align with business goals.
