Job summary

McKesson seeks a Sr Director, Shared Capabilities & Engagement Experience to own platform surfaces and external/internal developer portals. You will lead multiple engineering teams, drive AI-native tooling, and enforce GitOps-driven operations across a multi-region architecture.

You will partner with MT and security teams to shape the external engagement strategy, orchestrate integration workflows, and measure adoption and toil reduction at scale.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of software engineering with significant leadership in platform engineering, shared services, or developer experience.
• Experience leading platform engineering, shared services, or developer experience at scale.
• Deep fluency in GitOps and IaC (Terraform).
• Experience building or operating internal developer portals and external API products.
• Strong distributed systems and Kafka experience.
• Experience leading engineering managers, not just individual contributors.
• Executive-level communication and roadmapping skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year strategy for shared platform capabilities, developer portals, and partner engagement experience at CMM.
• Lead two engineering teams and establish engineering excellence standards (test-first, GitOps-first, AI-native tooling).
• Drive DORA metrics as primary health indicators for teams.
• Partner with Core Platform, Reliability, Product Security, and MT on multi-region shared services and security posture.
• Oversee Subscription Portal and External Engagement surface, aligning with senior leadership on strategy.
