Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering within Consumer & Community Banking Operations Technology to lead multiple technical domains and high-performing teams. You will drive platform strategy, governance, and scalable, secure solutions across the organization.

You will mentor technologists, partner with executives, shape resilient delivery pipelines, and champion responsible AI practices at scale.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
5+ years leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items.
Proven success delivering complex, multi-team programs at scale and on schedule.
Experience developing or leading large cross-functional teams of technologists.
Deep expertise across API design, AWS cloud, CI/CD, containers, event streaming, databases, security, compliance, and QA automation.
Experience leading multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering models with governance.
Deep understanding of responsible AI risk, controls, and resiliency expectations at scale.
Experience leading complex projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability.
Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
Mastery of modern delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and hands-on coding.

Responsibilities

Leads multiple technology and process implementations across departments to achieve firmwide objectives.
Directly manages multiple areas with strategic transactional focus.
Sets and scales multi-department strategy for AI-enabled engineering and SDLC automation to drive speed, scalability, reliability, and cost-to-serve.
Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to drive cross-domain reuse and measurable outcomes.
Provides leadership to teams while overseeing populations across platforms and lines of business.
Acts as primary interface with senior leaders and executives to drive consensus.
Manages stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross-product collaborations.
Influences peers and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
