The role intersects business, data, AI, technology, risk, governance, and transformation, strengthening engineering capabilities and driving data accessibility, context management, and business value through AI-enabled platforms. Based in NYC, lead high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in financial services or regulated industries.
• Strong background in data engineering, AI/ML platforms, enterprise architecture, metadata, governance, or digital transformation.
• Proven ability to lead large, matrixed organizations and deliver transformation at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead Data/AI Engineering function, setting direction for strategy, solution delivery, platform enablement, data interoperability, AI adoption, and organizational performance.
• Define and execute the strategic vision for data and AI engineering priorities aligned with business goals and regulatory expectations.
• Build and lead high-performing teams ensuring strong organizational design, leadership, workforce planning, and alignment to enterprise priorities.
• Drive scalable, resilient data and AI engineering platforms that improve data usability, accessibility, and trust across critical business domains.
• Lead development of AI context layer concepts, including knowledge graphs, semantic modeling, metadata, lineage, and contextual data frameworks.
• Partner with stakeholders to align investments, priorities, and execution plans with strategic data and AI objectives.
• Advance AI-led engineering by identifying and scaling practical AI use cases across software development, architecture, workflow orchestration, and automation.
• Modernize engineering practices through automation, reusable frameworks, platform thinking, and AI-assisted delivery approaches.
• Oversee data and AI governance-aligned engineering capabilities with strong controls around context management, usage, explainability, and security.
• Translate emerging opportunities into executable roadmaps and prioritized investments delivering measurable value.
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and investment priorities; recruit and retain talent; foster an inclusive, high-performance culture.
