Job summary

Verizon seeks an Associate Director to lead senior architects and sales engineers, overseeing end-to-end customer designs for AI Connect and fiber programs. You will ensure design integrity, drive bookings, and guide teams across discovery, solution architecture, contracts, and turn-up.

You will manage multi-disciplinary stakeholders, craft compelling executive presentations, and develop talent while championing efficiency and innovation across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering and architecting telecom, IT or network infrastructure.
• 3+ years leading senior architects or sales engineers.
• Experience owning complex customer solutions from design through delivery.
• Experience engaging senior executives and delivering presentations.
• Demonstrated skills in P&L, ROI, and cost analysis.
• Ability to build business cases and cost models.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision and build end-to-end ownership models for AI Connect and related fiber programs.
• Lead architects and sales engineers supporting top strategic customers.
• Own the customer design lifecycle from discovery to order and turn-up.
• Govern design, scope, schedule and cost to align with delivered scope.
• Run a customer-health cadence with cross-functional teams.
• Build stakeholder alignment and executive-level presentations.
• Develop talent, coach teams, and represent Verizon at events.
• Drive efficiency by introducing automation and reducing low-value work.
• Ensure revenue realization and strong contractual governance.
