Job summary

Verizon seeks an Associate Director to lead the architects who manage senior sales engineers, owning customer designs end to end—from discovery and solution architecture through contract and service turn-up. You will ensure design integrity, scope control, delivery readiness, and a superior customer technical experience.

You will guide a team with 15–30 years of experience, set direction, remove obstacles, and elevate the team’s value to customers and the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in engineering and architecting telecom, IT or network infrastructure.
• 3+ years leading senior architects or sales engineers, including coaching and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision and build the end-to-end model for customer design ownership in AI Connect, Dark Fiber, Lit Fiber/Wave and Edge Data Centers.
• Lead architects and sales engineers supporting Verizon's top customers across a multi-billion-dollar portfolio, driving bookings and quota attainment.
• Own the customer design lifecycle from discovery through order, hand-off, build tracking and turn-up.
