Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Senior Director of Compute Services to lead the infrastructure supporting internal and external customer platforms. You will work with thought leaders to define the future of AI computing infrastructure, covering bare metal, Kubernetes, container registry, and virtualization.

You will drive the engineering roadmap, oversee a multi-team organization, and ensure availability, reliability, and security of services in production.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering building and operating production services.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including directly managing other managers and scaling multi-team organizations.
• Proven track record of delivering at scale compute products at a cloud provider, security company, or large-scale SaaS, preferably in AI/ML environments.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems with high availability and clear operational ownership.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, audit logging).
• Collaborative experience with Product Management and Security/Compliance teams.
• Experience building and mentoring diverse, inclusive, high-performing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the engineering roadmap for CoreWeave compute products.
• Lead and grow high-performing engineering teams, including managers and senior ICs.
• Own the availability, reliability, and performance of security product services in production, including SLIs/SLOs and incident management.
• Partner with Product Management to translate customer requirements into designs and delivery plans.
• Oversee architecture and implementation of secure, scalable, auditable systems powering workloads.
• Collaborate with Sales, Solutions, and Customer Experience for enterprise deployments.
• Establish and improve engineering processes, quality bars, and operational best practices for security products.
