Job summary

CoreWeave in Sunnyvale, CA, seeks a Senior Director of Compute Services to own the infrastructure powering internal and external customer platforms. You will define the engineering roadmap for compute products and lead high-performing teams responsible for secure, scalable services with strong reliability and performance requirements.

You will collaborate with Product Management and Security/Compliance to translate customer needs into technical designs, oversee architecture, and guide deployment

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating distributed systems with high availability and clear ownership.
• Proven ability to lead diverse, high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong security concepts: authentication, authorization, encryption at rest/in transit, and audit logging.
• 10+ years of software/infrastructure engineering building and operating production services.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership, including managing other managers and scaling multi-team organizations.
• Collaborative with Product Management and Security/Compliance to ship customer-facing platform capabilities.
• Track record delivering compute products at cloud providers, security companies, or large-scale SaaS in AI/ML environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the compute engineering roadmap.
• Lead and grow engineering teams including managers and senior ICs.
• Own availability, reliability, and performance with SLIs/SLOs and on-call practices.
• Translate customer requirements into designs and delivery plans.
• Oversee secure, scalable, auditable systems powering workloads.
• Collaborate with Sales, Solutions, and Customer Experience to support deployments.
• Establish engineering processes, quality bars, and operational best practices for security products.
