Job summary

Radiance Technologies in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior Directed Energy Test Technician to install, test, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical and electronic systems per DoD specs. You will read diagrams, work across multiple projects, and mentor junior technicians in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires extensive hands-on maintenance experience, Soldering/Wiring proficiency, and ability to lift 35 lbs. Occasional travel and field work are expected as projects demand.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a clearance.
• 15+ years of hands-on technical maintenance or field service experience.
• High school diploma required; Associate degree or trade certification in a technical field preferred.
• Proficiency in soldering, crimping, splicing, cable fabrication, and control panel building.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds and work with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, and test mechanical and electrical system components per engineering drawings and procedures.
• Fabricate, assemble, install, repair, modify, test, operate, and troubleshoot electrical modules, components, and wire harnesses.
• Operate shop machinery and use calipers, micrometers, and scales.
• Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications.
• Draft Test Incident Reports (TIRs) for failures and write test reports.
• Travel up to 25% for extended durations as assigned.
• Support multiple projects and collaborate with engineers and technicians.
