Job summary

Radiance Technologies is seeking a Senior R&D Electrical Engineer to support R&D programs including directed energy and pulsed power. Based at Radiance’s headquarters in Huntsville, AL, this full-time role involves hands-on work in a lab with a multidisciplinary team and requires independent leadership of hardware development across analog, digital and embedded electronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience (Master’s in STEM substitutes for 2 years).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Experience with electrical hardware design through multiple lifecycle phases.
• Schematic capture and PCB design/layout for analog, digital, or mixed-signal electronics.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC, grounding, shielding, and electrical design practices.
• Ability to solve technical problems and work in a multidisciplinary R&D team.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical hardware development efforts involving analog and digital circuitry.
• Design, build, integrate and test advanced electrical systems and technologies.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware and conduct system-level testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across disciplines.
• Integrate electrical hardware into high-power microwave and pulsed-power systems.
