Job summary

Willow is seeking a Senior Direct Response Copywriter to scale performance marketing across acquisition and retention. You will craft persuasive copy for paid ads, landing pages, emails, and SMS, translating medical and wellness topics into clear, compliant messaging with an empathetic voice.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Lifecycle, Creative, and Design to ideate, write, test, and refine messaging, while monitoring CTR, CPA, CVR, and ROAS to optimize campaigns and drive subscriber growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct response or performance copywriting in high-growth DTC or healthcare-adjacent brands.
• Proven experience writing conversion-focused copy across paid social, lifecycle email, SMS, and landing pages.
• Strong understanding of direct response, consumer psychology, messaging strategy, and offer positioning.
• Experience using performance data to develop, test, and refine concepts.
• Experience writing in healthcare/telehealth/wellness with FDA/FTC awareness and paid platform policies.
• Exceptional writing and editorial judgment for persuasive, empathetic health messaging.
• Organized and able to manage multiple projects across cross-functional teams.
• Comfort using AI tools to support research, ideation, and iteration.

Responsibilities

• Write conversion-focused copy across Meta, TikTok, Google, YouTube, and other paid/organic channels.
• Develop high-converting landing pages, product detail pages, advertorials, and subscription offers.
• Create multiple messaging angles and variations designed to convert cold audiences.
• Build and optimize email and SMS flows across acquisition, onboarding, conversion, retention, and win-back.
• Develop campaigns that support product launches, subscriber growth, retention, and LTV.
• Test subject lines, offers, messaging angles, and CTAs to improve performance.
• Partner with Marketing and Creative teams to develop concepts from customer insights and performance.
• Review metrics like CTR, CPA, CVR, and ROAS to identify winning ideas.
• Monitor competitor messaging and direct response trends to keep Willow fresh.
• Translate complex telehealth topics into clear, persuasive copy within compliance.
• Own multiple projects from brief to delivery while collaborating with Marketing, Creative, Design, Lifecycle, and Compliance.
