Job summary

Center for Human Development (CHD) seeks a Senior Direct Care/MAP Specialist for a new Intensive Treatment Residential program located in West Springfield, MA. The role provides leadership over shifts, ensures 24/7 supervision, and delivers structured, therapeutic care aligned with youth treatment plans.

You will collaborate with LPN/RN to manage the med room, supervise staff, and coordinate daily tasks to ensure high-quality services for youths and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
• Driver's license required.
• Have a legally registered & insured car for work use.
• Experience working with youth and their families.
• Experience in community child welfare and mental health programming.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned shifts to meet youth and family needs.
• Lead a group of staff and schedule/allocate shift duties.
• Collaborate with LPN and RN to manage the med room and MAP policy/regulations.
• Ensure alignment of care with youth treatment plans and program goals.
• Maintain a structured, therapeutic environment and support self-regulation skills.
