Job summary

Mission Nursing Home in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to support the Dietary Department under the Director of Dietary. You will supervise staff, coordinate daily activities, and promote resident-centered dining while exercising independent judgment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe Certification required or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Experience in dietary, nutrition, or food service operations in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting.
• Ability to supervise staff and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and professional writing skills.
• Ability to pass Minnesota DHS background and OIG exclusion checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the Dietary Department and supervise staff.
• Provide coaching and training, monitor performance, and enforce policies.
• Assist with budgeting, procurement, and resource management.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and record-keeping.
• Maintain resident meal service quality and satisfaction; assist with events.
• Adapt to changing schedules and perform other duties as assigned.
