Job summary

Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) Folkestone in Wayzata, MN is seeking a Nutrition and Culinary Services Assistant Director to support the Director in planning, organizing and directing staff and programs to ensure high-quality meals and dining services in accordance with regulations and best practices.

The role is full-time, on-site, 40 hours per week, with after-hours staffing as needed; reports to the Nutrition & Culinary Services Director and directly supervises Supervisors, Servers and

Qualifications

• Current Certified Dietary Manager Credentials or graduate of an accredited course.
• Current Food Safety Certification.
• Three years experience in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting.
• Experience in special event planning.
• Competencies in food service management and operations, quality management, staff development, cooking, and clinical nutrition for the elderly.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee meal preparation and service based on established menus, regulations, policies and best practices.
• Assist with meal process as necessary.
• Regularly solicit customer feedback and incorporate solutions regarding the quality and satisfaction with meals served into meal and service planning.
• Assist with menu planning.
• Assist in developing menus and recipes.
• Maintain and monitor accurate meal documentation records per established procedures.
• Establish and maintain effective communication systems with all customers.
