Job summary

Mission Nursing Home in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to support the Dietary Department. You will supervise staff, coordinate daily activities, and promote resident-centered dining services while applying regulatory compliance and quality standards.

The role partners with the Director of Dietary to oversee operations, budgeting, and resources, ensuring high-quality meals and service for residents in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior dietary/food service experience in skilled nursing or senior living preferred.
• ServSafe Certification required or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to supervise staff, oversee operations, and ensure food safety practices.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and quality assurance preferred.
• Strong communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of the Dietary Department, coordinating staff and workflow.
• Monitor performance, coach staff, and ensure adherence to policies.
• Assist Director of Dietary with budgeting, inventory, and procurement.
• Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in dietary services.
• Support resident meal service quality and coordinate with Activities for events.
• Perform other duties to support resident care and dietary operations.
