WeCare is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dietary team in our skilled nursing facility. You will oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure high‑quality meals aligned with resident needs and therapeutic diets.

The role requires a CDM certification and at least 1 year of leadership in a long‑term care setting. ServSafe certification is preferred; strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of food service leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long‑term care setting.
• CDM certification is required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets, sanitation, and healthcare food service regulations.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage staffing, schedules, inventory, and department priorities.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily food service and dietary department operations.
• Supervise, schedule, train, and support dietary staff.
• Ensure meals meet resident needs, preferences, therapeutic diets, and prescribed consistencies.
• Maintain compliance with CMS, state, sanitation, and food safety requirements.
• Manage food ordering, inventory, supplies, and department costs.
• Monitor kitchen cleanliness, food storage, temperatures, and sanitation practices.
• Collaborate with Nursing, Administration, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with survey readiness and corrective action as needed.
