Job summary

The Highlands at Wyomissing is seeking a Cook’s Helper to join our senior living dining team. You will support line service, assist with plating, and help with food prep while ensuring quality and safety in a busy kitchen.

This part‑time role requires attentiveness to dietary guidelines, proper portioning, and sanitation procedures. You’ll work with a friendly team, follow SERV Safe standards, and contribute to smooth meal service and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of portion control, dietary guidelines, and plate presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently during peak service times and maintain quality.
• Understanding of sanitation procedures and food safety standards.
• Commitment to reliability and teamwork.
• Attention to temperature controls and proper labeling.

Responsibilities

• Serves menu items to residents as deemed by checks/selector tickets.
• Uses proper utensils and portion control of menu items.
• Follow diets and small portion guidelines as required.
• Adheres to SERV Safe procedures and sanitation checklists.
• Maintains temperature and quality of food on the serving line.
