Job summary

Cornerstone Management Communities is seeking a friendly food service aide to provide meals to residents in our assisted living communities. You will assist with prep, dining room set-up, serving, and dishwashing, contributing to a warm, welcoming dining experience.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, prior experience with older adults, and strong communication and attendance. A compassionate, patient approach and the ability to work as part of a team are essential to support

Qualifications

• High School education or GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience working with older adults.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions in English.
• Demonstrated punctuality and good attendance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food prep, portioning, and plating meals.
• Support safe food handling practices and proper hygiene.
• Set up dining room, serve meals, and maintain a welcoming dining area.
• Operate dishwasher and ensure clean dishware and utensils.
• Follow cleaning protocols and assist with waste disposal and recycling.
• Communicate with residents and respond to dining requests with care.
• Support resident-centered care and uphold mission and values.
