Job summary

Cornerstone Management Communities is seeking a friendly Dining Assistant (Part Time) to provide meals and dining support for residents in our senior living communities. You will help with food prep, serving, dishwashing, and dining area setup to create a welcoming experience.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, experience with older adults, and strong communication and attendance records. Join our resident-centered team focused on dignity and respectful care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, plating and serving according to menu and standards.

• Operate dishwashing and keep dishware and tools clean.
• Follow cleaning protocols and assist with waste disposal and recycling.
• Communicate with residents and respond to dining requests professionally.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing food service to the residents of Cornerstone Management Communities in a positive and friendly manner. Services may include - related services, set-up and clean-up of dining room, food preparation, serving food, and dishwashing.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with food prep, portioning, and plating meals according to menu and standards.
• Support safe food handling practices, including hygiene, temperature control, and food storage.
• Set up dining room, serve meals, and ensure a clean, welcoming dining experience for residents.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain cleanliness of dishware, kitchen tools, and dining areas.
• Follow cleaning protocols and assist with waste disposal and recycling.

Qualifications:

• High School education/GED or previous work experience.
• Experience in working with older adults.
• Possess a sensitivity and aptitude for working with the elderly.
• Prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
• Possess skills to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and other customers.
• Possess the ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and documentation, including medical terminology, in English.
• Be punctual with a good attendance record.
• Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
• Understand how to use, carry and be responsible for the cell phone while on duty.
