Job summary

Central Garden & Pet is seeking a Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing, SEO & Website Content to lead SEO strategy and oversee website content across brand sites and eCommerce platforms. You will drive search optimization, manage agencies, and measure digital performance against business goals.

The role supports hybrid work from Schaumburg, IL or Phoenix, AZ with four days in the office to foster collaboration, learning, and team connection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing or related field.
• 10+ years in digital marketing with 5+ years in Content Marketing/SEO.
• CMS experience: Sitecore or WordPress.
• Experience with marketing tech such as HubSpot CRM.
• Strong SEO analytics experience (Search Console, SEMrush, Majestic).
• 5+ years tracking and reporting digital marketing campaigns using GTM and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEO across owned websites and eComm platforms.
• Coordinate content optimization and technical development with agencies and internal teams.
• Audit brand sites for technical issues affecting UX and search rankings.
• Manage backlink authority and 301 redirects to grow search authority.
• Project manage advanced SEO initiatives like schema automation and link-building.
• Measure SEO performance against KPIs and provide optimization recommendations.
• Train and upskill teams on SEO and content best practices.
