Job summary

Cadence Design Systems in California is seeking an experienced Digital Implementation Field Applications Engineer to work with leading-edge customers on Synthesis, P&R, and Signoff to hit PPA targets and accelerate design closures.

The role requires 10+ years in Digital Design/STA, Cadence tool expertise, and strong customer-facing skills. You will collaborate with R&D, drive adoption of Cadence technologies, and translate customer requirements into tool solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Digital Design and STA.
• Experience with IC digital implementation flows: Synthesis, Place and Route, IR Drop, Timing Signoff.
• Experience with Cadence tools (Genus, Innovus, Conformal, Tempus, Modus, Voltus) or ICC/ICC2/DC/FC/Primetime.
• Experience with 5nm nodes and below.
• Scripting in Tcl/Perl/Python/shell.

Responsibilities

• Explore and deploy new PPA methodologies on next‑gen designs.
• Drive technical evaluations/benchmarks to success.
• Provide technical support to Cadence customers in Backend Digital Design and Signoff.
• Guide customers on using Cadence tools to meet project schedules.
• Collaborate with R&D to enhance tools and methodologies.
• Drive adoption and proliferation of Cadence tools and technologies.
• Translate customer requirements into tool solutions with R&D.
